When the Windows 7 beta was announced, it was originally limited to 2.5 million users. This was later relaxed<\/a> but the shutters are about to come down again<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Windows 7 team announced on Friday that, starting tomorrow, the Windows 7 website<\/a> will be updated with a warning that time is running out. No new downloads will be possible after 10 February (but downloads in progress will continue) and on 12 February the tap will be turned off completely (product keys will still be available).<\/p>\n

This applies to public downloads from the Windows 7 website – if you are a TechNet or MSDN subscriber, you will still be able to download the beta (and presumably the same rules apply for Microsoft Connect, although I’ve not heard anything official).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
