Together with my colleague, Alan Dodd, I’ve spent a considerable amount of time this week cleansing data in a SharePoint list. Quite why I can’t import e-mail addresses from an Excel spreadsheet to a column of type “Person or Group” I don’t know, but we couldn’t seem to make it work…<\/p>\n

Checking names or browsing the directory was tediously slow; then I found that if I pasted the e-mail address, rather than the person’s name, SharePoint immediately resolved that address to a name and let me move on to the next record… might be a timesaver for someone?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
