and &#8220;Live Meetings&#8221; are all horrible names for meetings conducted across the &#8216;net.\u00c2\u00a0 Admittedly these services cut down on travel (good for the environment and for the soul) and are better than voice conferences (yawn) but, sometimes, a face to face meeting is much more valuable.\u00c2\u00a0 Regardless of my personal views on these events, they seem to feature heavily in modern office life (I&#8217;ll be attending a few this week&#8230;) and I thought it might be useful to publish a few command codes for <a href=\"http:\/\/office.microsoft.com\/en-us\/livemeeting\/HP011495191033.aspx\">the phone conference service that is one of three methods for\u00c2\u00a0Live Meeting\u00c2\u00a0users to connect to the audio stream<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chairperson codes:\n<ul>\n<li>#1 Participant roll call<\/li>\n<li>#2\u00c2\u00a0Participant count\u00c2\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>*2 Stop audio playback<\/li>\n<li>*5 Mute\/unmute participant lines<\/li>\n<li>*7 Lock\/unlock conference<\/li>\n<li>*8 Record start\/stop<\/li>\n<li>## End conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Chairperson and participant codes\u00c2\u00a0\n<ul>\n<li>*0 Operator assistance<\/li>\n<li>#0 Conference help menu<\/li>\n<li>*6 Mute\/unmute own line\u00c2\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These codes are from my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.conferencing.bt.com\/meetme\">BT MeetMe<\/a> account; however I&#8217;m pretty sure that they are valid for the audio portion of any service based on <a href=\"http:\/\/office.microsoft.com\/livemeeting\">Microsoft Office Live Meeting<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0(the mute code certainly seems to work when I&#8217;m on Microsoft-hosted Live Meetings).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Webcasts&#8221;, &#8220;WebExes&#8221;, &#8220;Webinars&#8221;
