Since then I&#8217;ve come across some more information that might be useful:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For those writing proxy autoconfiguration (.PAC) files, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/resources\/documentation\/ie\/6\/all\/reskit\/en-us\/part6\/c26ie6rk.mspx\">Chapter 26 of the Internet Explorer Resource Kit<\/a> details the various JavaScript functions that are available for use.<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s a who load more useful information in the Windows IT Professional magazine <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windowsitpro.com\/articles\/print.cfm?articleid=39675\">configuring ISA Server clients<\/a> article and in the ISAServer.org <a href=\"http:\/\/www.isaserver.org\/tutorials\/isa_clients__part_1__general_isa_server_configuration.html\">general ISA Server configuration<\/a> article.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/?kbid=900935\">Microsoft knowledge base article 900935<\/a> describes a tool called proxycfg.exe, which can be used to set proxy settings in the registry, e.g. if WPAD is not possible, or is not working.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/?kbid=271361\">Microsoft knowledge base article 271361<\/a> describes a feature called automatic proxy caching, designed to prevent the use of different proxies to gain access to the same web server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week I blogged about configuring WPAD for Internet Explorer clients.
