{"id":2409,"date":"2011-03-24T17:52:24","date_gmt":"2011-03-24T17:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.markwilson.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2409"},"modified":"2011-11-17T21:24:13","modified_gmt":"2011-11-17T21:24:13","slug":"finding-your-twitter-rss-feed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.markwilson.co.uk\/blog\/2011\/03\/finding-your-twitter-rss-feed.htm","title":{"rendered":"Finding your Twitter RSS feed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unlike many people, I quite like &#8220;new&#8221; Twitter (although it doesn&#8217;t seem that new any more!) &#8211; compared with &#8220;old&#8221; Twitter, the website is far more usable but it did lose one item of functionality &#8211; that of finding the RSS feed for your Twitterstream.<\/p>\n<p>For those who think RSS is dead &#8211; it&#8217;s not dead &#8211; it&#8217;s just not something we have to think about too often (like HTTP) and (just like HTTP) it&#8217;s still a very useful technology. I think I once saw a response from Twitter that suggested browsers can identify RSS feeds in pages now, but all that seems to turn up is a feed of my favourites.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, Twitter came to my rescue on this one &#8211; not the website\/API people, but the people who follow me (thanks guys). \u00a0And then I saw the same question asked again today, so I thought I should blog the answer.<\/p>\n<p>Your Twitter stream is available at http:\/\/twitter.com\/statuses\/user_timeline\/<em>twitteruserid<\/em>.rss.<\/p>\n<p>So <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quora.com\/How-do-I-find-someones-Twitter-user-number\">how do you get your Twitter user ID<\/a>? Well, there&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idfromuser.com\/\">a website that will help to get a Twitter ID from a username<\/a>\u00a0and your Twitter user number is also available in the properties displayed for your user on many Twitter clients.
