Whilst copying some files across the network today it seemed to me that the operation seemed to be taking much longer than it should. It looks like there may have been a duplex mismatch as setting the network interface cards to 100\/full instead of auto seemed to fix the problem.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure if this is entirely accurate, but I remember an ex-colleague of mine telling me that the network speed can be auto-detected but auto-detecting the duplex is less reliable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
