After backing up my data and opening up my notebook PC, I found that the replacement was actually a Seagate <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seagate.com\/support\/disc\/specs\/sata\/st980825as.html\">ST980825AS<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sata\">Serial ATA<\/a> (SATA) drive, rather than an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seagate.com\/support\/disc\/specs\/ata\/st9808211a.html\">ST9808211A<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Advanced_Technology_Attachment\">Ultra ATA<\/a> (EIDE) disk.
