It&#8217;s always good to understand the competitive landscape though and I&#8217;ve spent some time recently brushing up my knowledge of <a href=\"http:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/\">Amazon Web Services (AWS)<\/a>, which may come in useful as I&#8217;m thinking of moving some of my computing workloads to AWS. \u00a0Amazon&#8217;s EMEA team are running a series of &#8220;Journey to the Cloud&#8221; webcasts at the moment and the first two sessions covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disaster Recovery (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/AmazonWebServices\/journey-through-the-aws-cloud-disaster-recovery\">slides<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2udiWWzcEKE\">video<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Test and Development (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.slideshare.net\/AmazonWebServices\/journey-through-the-aws-cloud-development-and-test\">slides<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=DU3yilHrDBU\">video<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The next webcast in the series is focused on <a href=\"http:\/\/aws.amazon.com\/resources\/webinar-storage\/\">Storage and Archiving<\/a>\u00a0and it takes place next week (23 October).
