Only last week, I worked out how to do what I&#8217;ve wanted to do for most of the time I&#8217;ve had the car &#8211; i.e. to have one phone connected over Bluetooth for calls (my work phone) at the same time as another is connected for playing music\/podcasts\u00a0(my private phone).<\/p>\n<p>As long as both devices are paired to the\u00a0car, it&#8217;s pretty simple and the steps are in the video below:<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LVqNoSqH-1I?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-GB&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t see the video, then these are the steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect the phone that you want to use as a phone to the car. In the video you can see &#8220;Mark Wilson&#8217;s Lumia&#8221; is connected.<\/li>\n<li>using the steering wheel controls, scroll down to Bluetooth and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to Media player and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Select Paired devices and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Select the second device (in\u00a0the video it&#8217;s &#8220;Mark&#8217;s iPhone) and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>Click OK at the\u00a0Connect prompt, and again at the &#8220;End current connection?&#8221; prompt.<\/li>\n<li>After a few seconds, the second device\u00a0should connect\u00a0and you can play media content\u00a0from this, whilst still making\/receiving calls on the first device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow,\u00a0the leased Volkswagen Tiguan (2012 model) that I&#8217;ve been driving for the last three years is being collected.
