Indeed, I wrote it on Thursday night, published on Friday afternoon, and then ran away to The Cotswolds.<br \/>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.markwilson.co.uk\/blog\/images\/red-tractor.jpg?resize=400%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Restored Massey Ferguson Red Tractor at Vegetable Matters\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/>My wife and I spent the weekend in and around Chipping Campden with great weather, wonderful views, fantastic food and a lovely hotel. And on more than one occasion I felt like I was living in an episode of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/radio4\/features\/the-archers\/\">The Archers<\/a> (not just because of the restored tractor at <a href=\"http:\/\/vegetablematters.co.uk\/\">the local farm shop<\/a>).<br \/>\nIt was just a more relaxed pace of life in a rural idyll. A place where people are friendly and they talk to one another. And a trip into Moreton-on-the-Marsh showed that many businesses remain closed on Sundays &#8211; which is no bad thing either.<br \/>\nOn Sunday afternoon, we drove back over the beautiful Cotswolds and the Northamptonshire uplands &#8211; then we got to Northampton and boom! Into the chaos of Sunday afternoon the M1, massive distribution centres, traffic, modern life&#8230;<br \/>\nIt made me think that not all progress is good!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, for the first time in ages, I got my weeknote out on time.
