Who is Mark Wilson?
Currently employed as a Senior Customer Solution Architect for a leading IT services company, Mark Wilson has fifteen years’ experience of IT infrastructure projects within the United Kingdom, continental Europe and Australia. Since 1994, Mark has been designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions, operating both in-house and as a consultant, with his main focus areas being Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory and the Windows platform in general, although recent assignments have focused on server virtualisation using both Microsoft and VMware products and he currently leads Fujitsu’s client device services in the UK and Ireland (read more about Mark’s IT experience).
The main focus of this website is the markwilson.it blog, which comments on Mark’s technology experiences (as featured in The Independent newspaper). His opinion has been quoted in the IT trade publications IT Week and Computer Weekly and he has also contributed articles that have been published in Computer Weekly and on Microsoft UK’s Industry Insiders ‘blog. Mark has also produced some short instructional videos for the Microsoft TechNet website and received a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award in 2008 and 2009. When not at work, he devotes his energies towards his family and photography, a hobby which has survived many years of competition with other interests and from which he dreams of being able to make a living one day.
